--UNCG dominated Wofford 71-52 on Wednesday night. It's safe to say that my previous opinion that Wofford had become the best team in the SoCon was definitely wrong. The Terriers are now near the bottom of the conference, I think it is safe to say. The Spartans are slowly improving, and played their best game of the year Wednesday night. It was a huge night for the Spartans and a must win game. The Terriers are in real trouble in the SoCon race right now. The Spartans are edging back into the bye race, particularly if they can beat Furman on Sunday afternoon.
--Four really big games on Thursday evening. College of Charleston's visit to Georgia Southern is huge for the Eagles and Cougars. The Eagles could get back into the bye race with an upset of the Cougars. Elon hosts Furman, and the Phoenix need a win to inch closer in the North race. Of course, there are also the two huge North games. Western Carolina's trip to Samford and Appalachian State's visit to Chattanooga will be pivotal.
--Tom Tankelewicz of Western Carolina has been deemed academically eligible after all and should be eligible to play immediately in these two crucial games at Samford and at Chattanooga.
