--UNCG took care of Lees McRae on Wednesday night 86-47. They were tied at 10, before being up by ten at the half. Then the Spartans poured it on, outscoring the Bobcats 51-22 in the second half. Nicholas Paulos scored 26 to lead all scorers. Trevis Simpson scored just six. The Spartans head to Western Carolina on Saturday in a huge showdown for the Spartans.--Tonight's games will be intriguing in the Battle of North vs. South. Chattanooga and Samford (representing the North) head on the road to battle College of Charleston and The Citadel (representing the South). The North leads the South 6-3 on the year to date, which is a bit surprising. Still plenty of time for the South, and they can get the lead down to one tonight.
--Wow. The SoCon Pick 'Em is now up to 30 participants. I am eager to see how this turns out for everyone involved. There's still time to enter, and we'll have weekly scores as well. Five people have not turned in their picks for Saturday's games. Those picks aren't due until Friday night at 9:00 PM Eastern anyway, so that's not a huge deal. The other 25 have all submitted all their picks, and all thirty have submitted their picks for tomorrow night's games. Thank you all for participating.
