ANALYSIS

The Mocs lost another one point game. Another heartbreaker. Another soul wrenching loss. How long can this go on?

Apparently for the whole season- at least for now.  UNCG shot the ball very well from three point range. Truthfully, Trevis Simpson was the most impressive player I had seen all year. He scored 28 points in 26 minutes. He made fifty percent of his three pointers. Simpson was great- the rest of the team was good, but anything but great.

The Mocs did rebound extraordinarily well. They outrebounded UNCG by eight in this one. Burroughs had another great game. He kept the ball alive on rebounds, he fought for loose balls, and he scored ten points and had twelve rebounds. It was another great game for Burroughs. He really is a difference maker.

It's just that the difference maker wasn't enough tonight. They couldn't come up with the big stop. He couldn't come up with the offensive score in the final minute to put it away.

Dontay Hampton went down with an injury. It appeared to me to be a concussion and that he willl be out for a while. That is not good news for the Mocs, who continue to get pounded by injuries. Hampton is a solid contributor. The Mocs could use him healthy in the SoCon Tournament.

An important note here is that Zlovaric is one of he best players in the SoCon. He should be among the Top Five players in the SoCon next year. He is a dominant force. He should be this good every single night. As he continues to blossom, he needs to be a force in the SoCon Tournament.

The Mocs desperately need to get going. I don't know how the Mocs keep on not winning at the end, but they do it. They hopefully will start finidng the wins.

GO MOCS!
