Double Dribbles- 2-10-12

1) Elon and UNCG remain in a tight battle for the North division title. The good news for Elon on a night they lost to the Mocs? UNCG beat Samford, which keeps them up two games on the third place Bulldogs before the Phoenix head down there on Saturday night. UNCG heads to Chattanooga to take on the Mocs on Saturday. This Southern Swing for Elon and UNCG was going to be huge- we knew that. But UNCG's road win at Samford coupled with Elon's loss to Chattanooga makes Saturday's games even bigger.

2) Is there a more interesting game Saturday than Wofford's trip to Appalachian State? The Mountaineers looked like they had quit on Monday night, but won at Furman on Thursday. Now they are just a half game out of third, and two and a half out of the bye. Wofford has lost three straight games and the Terriers are down two games for the bye as well, while up by just one game on College of Charleston for third. Which team shows up ready to play on Saturday night? Sure, Charleston hosting Davidson will get more headlines, and those two North battles are gigantic, but this game is absolutely positively intriguing to everyone around the SoCon.
