1) Jack Isenbarger of Elon won the SoCon Player of the Week. He scored 23.3 points per game, and collected 4.7 rebounds per game, and 5.6 assists per game in the three games last week. He scored 34 against The Citadel, with 25 against Charleston. He is shooting 56% from the line. Early in the year, he suffered from a shoulder injury. Now, he's come back. Can Isenbarger carry the Phoenix all the way to a SoCon Tournament title? I think he can. Isenbarger getting hot makes the Phoenix a very touhg out for any team from here on out.
2) The best road team in the league is clearly Davidson, who is 7-4 on the road this year. The next best road team is Wofford. They are 5-7 on the road in overall play. The third best winning percentage on the road belongs to Furman at 5-8. That was the most surprising of the teams at the top of this list. The Paladins have been surprisingly good on the road. Sometimes this is a good omen for doing well in the tourney. Furman and their solid defense may be one of the darkhorses in Asheville.
