ANALYSIS

It was another strange night in the SoCon. On Thursday, I said that the North had one sure win. They got that. I said the the South had two sure wins- they only got one of those. The three toss-up games? All of those went to the South. The South now holds a commanding edge and is unlikely to blow it, but is really interesting that Samford has beaten Davidson and Wofford in the last eight days and has proven that they belong among the league's elite right now. This would have been an unheard of statement even three weeks ago. The South has this thing all but wrapped up, which is a bit of a surprise that they wrapped it up this early.
