ANALYSIS

This was certainly the worst overall performance by the Mocs this year. They lost by 27, more than they lost at Kentucky or at Indiana. This speaks very well for Davidson. They are a legitimate team that could go far if they get to the NCAA Tournament.

All that being said, the Mocs turned the ball over less than Davidson and also did a better job of getting to the free throw line. The Wildcats shot an exceptional number of three pointers, but they made a solid portion of them. They also collected fourteen offensive rebounds. It's important to note when discussing rebounding that the Mocs are still without Jahmal Burroughs and Z Mason. If they can get those guys back, that will make a huge difference in the rebounding category.

The good news for the Mocs was that Zlovaric played pretty well. That was good to see him show some signs of life. Keegan Bell again struggled as did Ricky Taylor. Is this team ever going to get everybody going at the same time? Can they get people healthy?

This is clearly a broken team. But a few wins, a few guys returning from injury, and who knows? This team has enough talent to do plenty of damage in Asheville. This game ended about how it should have been expected to- in a Davidson blowout. The Mocs two home games against UNCG and Elon next week will determine where this team goes from here. It would be really useful if Mason and Burroughs could be back by then.

GO MOCS!
