ANALYSIS

The Mocs win over Wofford was thrilling. The Mocs defensive effort was more than admirable. This team is built on excellent defense. It's what they do. They play great defense. They held Wofford to 28.4% shooting from the floor and an eFG% of 32%, which is amazing.

Wofford really struggled offensively. This was somewhat expected. The prediction was that the teams would struggle to get into the sixties. In the end, they struggled to get into the fifties. But don't forget Omar Wattad was really limited due to his injury. Ricky Taylor was somewhat limited because of his wrist. I have to believe that made him miss free throws. Keegan Bell had one of his worst games of the year.

Z Mason scored 17 points and had 13 rebounds. He was incredible. He had one of the most remarkable games anyone has had all year long. He was an absolute beast. That was great. The Mocs absolutely needed that kind of performance from Mason. He was brilliant.

Zlovaric continued to have a great run. He has been doing very well in recent weeks, and the Mocs are so much better now that he is producing consistently.

The Mocs are now a half game out of first in the North. They are tied with Appalachian State and Western Carolina for second place. Since they own wins over both, they are up because ofthe tiebreaker. They are a half game behind Elon for the North division lead at this point.

It was not a perfect performance, but it was another win over another pretty good team. Once the Mocs get healthy, they are going to be better than this. They are a great defensive team that goes through stretches where they can't score offensively. Now that Mason and Zlovaric (and Burroughs) are playing so well, it's only a matter of time before this offense looks good. If Wattad and Taylor look better and Bell starts playing with a little less pressure on him, this team can score points.

GO MOCS!
