1) Three SoCon games televised today on SportSouth, Fox SportSouth, or ESPN3. Chattanooga travels to Tennessee to take on a vulnerable Vols team. Wofford goes to Wake Forest and UNCG heads to Miami as the SoCon takes on the ACC. None of those games is totally unwinnable for the SoCon team. It is very possible that the SoCon produce an upset on Monday night. That would be a nice way to start the new year.
2) This is also the last day before non-conference play is over for the year for the SoCon. Sure, there a handful of out of conference clashes down the road, but conference play picks up in earnest later on this week. As the conference play kicks in, this should be one of the most exciting weeks of the season. Every team still has plenty on the line as they head into conference play. The 0-2 teams still have hope of turning things around, no matter how bad things have been so far. This is a really great time to be a fan of your team in the SoCon.
