ANALYSIS

Western Carolina's win over Wofford was a huge win for both the Catamounts and for the North. The Terriers have looked like they could be a legitimate contender for at least a South bye after their win over College of Charleston on Thursday, but the Catamounts were not really challenged by the Terriers on Saturday. Yes, they only won by ten, but they were really in control most of the night. As far as the match-up between Samford and The Citadel, the home team was able to jump out to a double digit lead early in the second half and never looked back. This was a big game for the North. This was a chance to cut the lead down to 5-3 overall in this battle. With The Citadel's win, it is beginning to look like the South is in firm control of this race at this point.
