Consistency, Part II

Something that I said preseason was that the Mocs desperately needed to find some consistently and just play consistently well.

Well, the season is nearly two months old. And the Mocs still have not found the level of consistency necessary.

That being said, the Mocs are starting to find small hints of consistency. They played well during much of December, with a hiccup against Mercer the only thing separating a relatively consistent month from the College of Charleston game all the way through the Dr Pepper Classic. The Mocs played decent basketball in every game outside of the Mercer game during December.

The Tennessee game was a bit of a disappointment. The Mocs did not come out and play with the intensity or the consistent effort that was needed to make the Mocs the victors on Monday night. They simply did not do that.

It's time to start showing that consistency. There is a lot of frustration here for the Mocs. The SoCon schedule kicks off Thursday. Honestly, the 0-2 SoCon start makes it very difficult to accomplish several of the preseason goals- like winning the SoCon regular season title or even winning the North title. To get back into the race for a bye in the SoCon Tournament, the consistent solid play needs to start on Thursday night.

It's time for the leadership to step up and show the consistency that this team desperately needs and that the fans are longing for.

GO MOCS!
