1) What a great Thursday this should be? Appalachian State's trip to Wofford will be great basketball. Ike Butts played like a man possessed against Davidson. He will need to play an equally huge game against the Terriers. The Terriers on the other hand are right in the mix for a bye out of the South and need to keep on winning. This is a massive game for both teams as they compete for byes out of the North and South. Which team will go the distance here?
2) What about Samford? Can they get back into the North race? After the Bulldogs upset of Chattanooga last Saturday, they are worth a second look. After all, they have not been blown out in any game. Elon on the other hand is struggling, with only a win over The Citadel in their last seven games. Could Samford actually pull the upset over Elon? It seems unlikely at this point. Then again, last week at this time, Samford was not expected to beat Chattanooga, and UNCG was certainly not expected to win at College of Charleston last Thursday. So, who knows? This may wind up being an interesting game.
