ANALYSIS

What I find most interesting this week is that Elon is so low in the Pomeroy rankings. Wofford is very close to them. That seems quite surprising to me. They are also very close in the Sagarin rankings. To me, Elon is far ahead of Wofford at this point, but apparently this is not the case really.

This is changed by the RPI. In RPI rankings, Elon is getting closer and closer to College of Charleston actually. The Phoenix are closing in on the Top 100. This seems appropriate.

Of course, this can be explained with Sagarin and Pomeroy including some from last year while the RPI is not. That explains a lot of the problems.

We're getting closer and closer to these RPI numbers being accurate. It's getting pretty interesting in those rankings, and the SoCon is looking more and more like they desperately need Elon, College of Charleston, or Davidson to win the tournament to get the best possible seed and showing in the NCAA Tournament. But the rest of the conference can still make a big run to get a higher RPI ranking.
