--Umm....that wasn't what UNCG had in mind. Presbyterian dominated the Spartans, 87-66. Jordan
Downing scored 37 points for the Blue Hose. This was a Presbyterian team that was 1-7. In the Coliseum. It wasn't a good one for the Spartans. The defense seemed virtually non-existent. The eFG% was 71.7% for the game for the Blue Hose. This seems to be a growing problem for several SoCon teams, most notably Chattanooga and Samford.
--Elon got one against VMI on Tuesday. The question was asked on Twitter if we as SoCon fans should be cheering for Elon or VMI. I think we still should have been rooting for Elon to help out the SoCon the short term, and worry about the long term later- especially since the SoCon needs every out of conference win it can find right now.
--A mistake was made by yours truly earlier this week. The game voted on as the Game of the Week was VMI-Elon, and I didn't realize it. So instead I am previewing the second most voted on game- Charlotte vs. Davidson.
--Chances for wins all over the board on Wednesday. Obviously Appalachian State and Georgia Southern against non-D1 should be wins. Western Carolina heads to 2-5 Coastal Carolina, Wofford goes to 4-4 Gardner-Webb, The Citadel takes on 4-3 Navy, Furman travels to 3-2 Fordham, Samford hosts 2-8 UT-Martin, and Davidson travels to 6-1 Charlotte. How many wins can the SoCon come up with on Wednesday night? I'm done guessing.
--A nice preview of Appalachian State's game against North Greenville from AppHoops, looking at the offensive inefficiencies of the team.
