--Elon jumped out to a one point halftime lead against Georgetown, but the Phoenix could not hold on, as Georgetown won 85-76. John Thompson III was so not pleased he refused to allow his players to speak to the media. Maybe he should save the vengeance for that first round upset in the NCAA Tournament that's coming. (I kid, Georgetown fans! I kid! Wait- why would a Georgetown fan be reading a SoCon and Mocs blog? I have no idea.)--Truthfully, Wofford played pretty well in a 15 point loss to VCU on Tuesday. It wasn't a win, but hey, given what I thought was going to happen on Tuesday, it was two relatively positive performances by Wofford and Elon. Maybe things are starting to turn the right direction for the SoCon. We'll know more Wednesday, when six teams play, and all but Chattanooga have a moderate chance to win.
