Daily Dribbles - 11-15-12

--Today begins one of the better (and more important) tournaments of this season for the SoCon. College of Charleston is the slight favorite against St. John's, and this game is huge for the Cougars and the SoCon. The SoCon is off to a bad start. They need Charleston and Davidson to help make some waves for them. (Wouldn't hurt if some other team did something either....just saying.) The Charleston Classic offers a real opportunity for one of the SoCon's better teams.

--I don't know how I missed this when I did the scan of Wofford's box scores, but the Terriers have a freshman Spencer Collins averaging 16.0 points per game so far this year. He is the Terriers second leading scorer. Wow. They keep on churning out new stars at Wofford.

--It's a big day for other SoCon teams. Samford visits Louisville, Chattanooga goes to Kansas, and Western Carolina goes to Wichita State. It's Opportunity Day for the SoCon. When you throw in Charleston playing St. John's, there is a huge opportunity for the SoCon to make waves today. Or get blown out.
