Three Point Play

1) College of Charleston has clinched a bye from the South, and are just a hair away from clinching the division. All they need to do is win one more game or have Wofford and Furman lose one more game each. The Cougars host Samford on Monday, so that should be enough to get the division. If it's not, the Cougars will be rooting for the Mocs to beat Wofford and Furman on Monday and Wednesday and help them close
down the division.

2) Western Carolina went on a 15-0 run late against Appalachian State to come up with the season sweep against the Mountaineers and take the division lead away from the Mocs. The Catamounts have reached the point where they may be the favorite to win the division, because they are probably favored in each of their final three games, and the Mocs may not be favored in any of them except for possibly Samford. The once seemingly insurmountable lead has been surmounted. And doesn't that foul call with a second left a week ago seem big now?

3) The Citadel has gone from trendy pick to make a run to trendy pick to be done quick. They were solidly in fourth place just a few weeks ago. Now they are out of it. Thiis team had completely fallen apart. In fact, I now think that The Citadel has less of a shot to win a game than Georgia Southern. Ouch. The Bulldogs go visit the Eagles next week. The Eagles might just be the favorite. Double ouch.
