Three Point Play

1) Davidson maintained their hot streak against Georgia Southern. They completely dominated the Eagles, something that has not been done lately despite the fact that Georgia Southern has been playing close in a lot of games lately. It's going to be very tough for Davidson to win four games in four days in Chattanooga in the SoCon Tourney, but they are one of the more capable teams ever to pull that off.

2) Wofford has a leg up on Furman for the second seed now- but maybe not for long. Furman has a lot of advantages over Wofford for the tiebreaker. If the two finish tied, and Wofford beats Furman at Furman in the final game of the regular season, then Furman still may have the final tiebreaker edge (RPI Ranking). If the two finish tied, and Furman beats Wofford in that game, then Furman owns the tiebreaker because of the sweep of the Terriers. Wofford just about has to win out, or have no more than one loss, and then only if Furman has two losses. Furman just needs to have an equal record to Wofford the rest of the way. Pressure is on the Terriers.

3) It's a rivalry kind of day in the SoCon. The Battle of Charleston is tonight as College of Charleston goes to suddenly cold The Citadel. Appalachian State hosts Western Carolina. These are two good SoCon rivalries. They both have division title implications. This should be a great set of SoCon games that Moc fans should pay attention to, especially the all important Appy-Western game.
