Daily Dribbles- 2/6/13

--Elon has won seven straight games, thanks in large part to SoCon Player of the Week Lucas Troutman, who averaged 22.5 points and eight rebounds per game. Troutman is certainly one of the SoCon's better players. Very deserving of the honor.

--Appalachian State's Nathan Healy reached the heights of 24 points, eight rebounds, and seven steals on Saturday against Western Carolina. He became the first player to reach those marks all in the same game this year in the entire country. Impressive.

--Furman was dominating The Citadel on Saturday night...until the Bulldogs scored 60 second half points. That was the third best half against a SoCon team in the Bulldogs history.

--A seating chart for the SoCon Tournament posted by T-Dog (for entertainment purposes only).

--Purple & Gold has a preview of the important Western Carolina-Davidson game on Thursday night.

--The reasons that Theo Johnson is not likely to get more playing time is listed by King Kresse.

--Search for it and you'll see a preview of the Appalachian State-Georgia Southern and Appy-Davidson game, along with a recap of last week's action for the Mountaineers.

--I thought you may not have gotten enough of conference realignment in the SoCon from Scanning the SoCon Monday, so here's the take of The Sports Arsenal.

--Here's a couple of articles you may have missed on this blog the last two days. One talks about the updated four year standings. The other discusses the battle for the fourth bye spot.
