Monday Thought
This game is important to all those teams on the bye bubble. The Catamounts need to be sure they win games like this. Georgia Southern, UNCG, Samford, Wofford and Elon will be paying close attention to this one.
Furman at Western Carolina
The Catamounts are one of the best defensive teams in the league. I'm not sure how the Paladins will score against Western Carolina. Stephen Croone will have to get to the basket and Kendrec Ferrara will have to be great inside the paint. The Catamounts defense in the paint is a little bit worse. It will be interesting to see if the Catamounts (the best in the league at forcing the turnovers) can force Croone into some turnovers. Trey Sumler has been in a bit of slump. He may snap out of it against Appalachian State on Saturday, or this may be the game where he snaps out of it. Catamounts 71, Paladins 57.
