Daily Dribbles-12-20-12

--A summary of College of Charleston's win on Tuesday night.

--Oh so close. Appalachian State came up just a nose short against South Carolina, falling 74-69 in their effort to become the second SoCon team to beat the Gamecocks this year. Some serious improvement for the Mountaineers right now.

--The Citadel was embarrassed at St. Bonaventure, 97-57. Things seem to be getting worse instead of better for the Bulldogs.

--The Spartans were hammered by UNC-Wilmington. They lost 87-73 on the road. This was not a good performance by UNCG. I've been on the bandwagon all along with the Spartans (maybe not the crazy, "This team will win the SoCon Tournament!" bandwagon, but the, "This is an above average SoCon team!" bandwagon). I'm beginning to think I should jump off this bandwagon. They are not a very good basketball team right now.

--Samford saved face for the SoCon on Wednesday night. They beat UT-Martin on the road, 75-62. Not a great win or the Bulldogs, but hey, the SoCon has little room to complain about wins these days.

--Somehow I missed this last week. A good look at the early season for The Citadel.

--A look at the first 2013 SoCon Tournament promo over on Purple & Gold.

--Elon's trip to Duke tonight will be an almost impossible situation for the Phoenix. But, never fear. Zachary Horner is here to talk about all things related to Phoenix basketball.
