Daily Dribbles- 12-12-12

--It's 12-12-12! Time for fun!

--Furman's Bobby Austin was named SoCon Player of the Week. He scored 20 points against Presbyterian on Sunday in leading the Paladins to the win, and shot 50% from the floor for the game.

--Strange but true facts: five different schools have had a player named SoCon Player of the Week in five weeks so far this year. Those five teams are Samford, Appalachian State, The Citadel, Elon, and Furman. Of those five, four are considered among the six worst schools in the SoCon to this point. Only Elon is a team that most consider to be a real contender for the SoCon title at this point. No Davidson player. No College of Charleston player. Very odd.

--Wofford is winning with defense. What else is new? They  have held opponents before 40% shooting in half of their games, and are allowing just 59.1 points per game.
