The magic number- 2816

Yep- still talking about Reinhardt.

It's hard to believe that the Mocs are playing the best team they play at home all year on Saturday (Murray State) and I've spent more time on here talking about a game against a non-D1 that is twelve days away and two huge games away than the one coming up this weekend.

And to think- I was worried there would be nothing to talk about on here this week.

Look- who knows what attendance will be? What I do know is that we'll be able to compare pretty realistically with is the Tennessee Temple game last year.

That game was also on December 21, and that was Monday last year, while this year it is a Tuesday. It was against a non-D1 team. Obviously Tennessee Temple is a shorter drive to campus than Reinhardt is.

BONUS TRIVIA QUESTION: Where is Reinhardt College located? Both city and state. What is the population of said city?

The attendance for that game a year ago was 2816. Will the Mocs have more or less than that? If they have more, then this will be considered a success. If they have less, then this will be considered a failure of sorts. Although, they may have expected less to begin with. We'll just have to wait and see.

So there is a real magic number there that is the probably the breaking point for Rick Hart and the athletic department. It may be somewhere around 2700- but 2816 is a nice comparison point.

One person on MocFans.com stated that there would be little problem with it if only it had been announced prior to buying season tickets. I thought that was the most reasoned response I have heard.

BONUS TRIVIA QUESTION ANSWERS: Waleska, Georgia. Population: 616.

GO MOCS!
