--Another brutal night for the SoCon. The Mocs should have won at home against Kennesaw State, and Elon's one point loss to Canisius was incredibly disappointing. The Phoenix were up seven with two minutes left and still managed to lose on a last second three pointer. They actually collected 13 offensive rebounds on the night. So close to going 3-0 on the night, but instead went 1-2, with the only win by Appalachian State over non-D1 Lees McRae.--Thank goodness we get a worry free night in the SoCon on Wednesday. UNCG hosts Greensboro College. That SHOULD be an easy win for the Spartans. Nonetheless, it's always good to read Dash's preview and get prepared.
--Stephen Croone was named the Player of the Week by the SoCon. He earned it. He had my vote in the Scanning the SoCon this past week, and he has looked so good. I've been very impressed with him.
