Click on the title- it will take you to a summary of East Tennessee State-Milligan exhibition game.
The Bucs dominated Milligan 113-61. I know, I know. That should scare everyone, right? But at least they didn't "pull a Syracuse."
Micah Williams and Sheldon Cooley both scored 19 points. Cooley is a freshman. Adam Sollazzo is a 6-6 sophomore, and had 15 points and 11 rebounds.
The Bucs outrebounded Milligan 59-32. Obviously, this was a good showing. They were battling some injuries, including to their best player Mike Smith.
The biggest weakness is that they only made 28 of 46 free throws, which comes out to 61 percent.
They lack a little size, and that did not show up against Milligan. They struggled to make free throws and that could haunt them. All in all, the Bucs put on a nice show.
They play Carson-Newman in an exhibition on Monday. Then they play Appalachian State in their season opener next Saturday at home at 4:00. They take on the Mocs on Wednesday, November 17 at 7:00 in McKenzie Arena.
They are picked to finish either fourth or fifth in the Atlantic Sun depending on which poll you look at.
Bring it on. The Bucs may still be my least favorite team, even after all these years out of the SoCon.
