Double Dribbles- 2-2-12

1) Furman finds themselves tied with Charleston for fourth in the South after a loss to Davidson on Wednesday night. Will the Cougars be able to pass them with a win over Elon on Thursday night? Should be interesting. Can the Paladins get back on track Saturday afternoon on the SoCon Saturday game at home against UNC-Greensboro? That is one of the must win games for the Spartans and the Paladins are in a similar situation. That game is shaping up as huge.

2) Samford goes to Wofford on Saturday and Appalachian State hosts College of Charleston. Both of these teams have tough games (and important games) on Saturday. Somehow, that makes the Samford-Appy game on Thursday night even bigger. The Bullldogs need a win to pull into a tie with Appalachian State. The Mountaineers beat Samford in January when Samford was struggling. Now, the Bulldogs are playing well and this would be a huge win for either one of these two teams. Appalachian State could move into second in the North with a win. Another big game between these two teams on Thursday night.
