--Happy New Year! Hope everyone has a great 2014. --Elon was demolished by Duke on Tuesday. The Phoenix lost by 38 points and did not look particularly good doing it. The Phoenix are overrated, in my opinion.
--Sebastian Koch of Elon won the SoCon Player of the Week for every game from December 17 on. Jaylen Allen of Wofford won Freshman of the Week.
--College of Charleston at Davidson on New Year's Day? Yes please. That happens at 2:00 PM. It should be a good game, and it will tell us a lot about where the Wildcats are as they head into SoCon play. The SoCon could really use this one.
